GRI is Hiring a Pipefiter Near Point Comfort, TX
Location: Point Comfort, TX, 77978
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team in Point Comfort, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipefitting and be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems in various industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of piping systems
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in various industrial settings
- Measure and cut pipes to the required length
- Weld, braze, or solder pipes and fittings together
- Test piping systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to complete projects
- Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Experience with welding, brazing, and soldering
- Knowledge of various piping materials and their applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
