Gridiron IT is Hiring an Integrated Submarine Imaging System Engineering Technician Near Groton, CT
Gridiron IT is seeking a talented “Integrated Submarine Imaging System (ISIS) Engineering Technician” to support ongoing submarine fleet modernization efforts. This is a fulltime position working out of Groton, CT.
The ISIS Engineering Technician will provide onsite installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of ISIS AN/BVY-1.
You Will:
- Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems at Company and client sites
- Perform or coordinate test and evaluation, checkout, and certification tasks of AN/BVY-1 systems
- Perform validations/verifications of various electronic systems related to the operation of the ISIS System and Photonics Mast Variants (PMV) to include Mast Technical Insertion (MTI) and Low Profile Photonics Mast (LPPM)
- Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), Technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
- Implement Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
- Train others in the operation and performance of the AN/BVY-1 system(s)
- Be the direct on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications and test procedures
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Possession of and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance.
- Hands-on experience configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and creating solutions to problems in operational hardware and software systems
- Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and commitment to quality and teamwork
- A passion for learning
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Education/Experience:
- Technical (Military/Vocational) school/training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience
- Experience in electronics and electrical systems
We Would Be Impressed If You Had:
- A certificate of completion of the ISIS maintenance course A-102-0388
- An active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret Security Clearance
