A Masonry & Concrete Project Manager is a professional responsible for estimates, and direct projects for both residential and commercial sites. The position requires a highly motivated professional with strong communication skills. Responsible for managing multiple accounts and multiple job projects at one time. The Masonry & Concrete Project Manager exhibits an exceptional level of customer relations, recognizes the complexities of the project, is proficient with industry software, able to prioritize, evaluate, negotiate, and make decisions based on experience. The Masonry & Concrete Project Manager plays a key role in building and growing the client base and the success of the company.

Below is a detailed job description for a Masonry & Concrete Project Manager:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer support from start to finish of all projects and maintains contact with clients during and after completion of project.
  • Reads and understands design/construction drawings and specifications; has knowledge of design and construction processes.
  • Accurate estimates and prices all work to maximize volume and profitability.
  • Oversee the deployment of all projects to ensure the achievement of quality and timely execution of projects, within budget; interact with other managers, support staff and production personnel to ensure customer/contract requirements and timelines are met.
  • Review contracts specifically focusing on scope of work responsibilities.
  • Prepare submittals and operational/maintenance manuals.
  • Issues purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Review plan changes and submit Requests for Information (RFI's)
  • Act as the liaison to our manufacturers for product reports, submittals, as-built shop drawings etc.
  • Ability to represent the company at construction meetings.
  • Document, coordinate, and communicate any project change orders to ensure accurate and timely billings.
  • Ensure all job files are maintained and complete; manage and input all documentation to support all databases required for successful completion of the project.
  • Prepares invoices for billing and any additional documentation required for billing purposes according to project contract documentation.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in project management with at least 2 years in a management role; High School Diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Project Management and Cost Estimating software.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction drawings and documents.
  • Ability to write professional business correspondence.
  • Ability to present information to groups.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with variables.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
