Griffith Centers is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Colorado, CO
$18-19 per hour based on experience. Benefits:

- Must be 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or a relevant field is preferred.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the following areas: electrical, plumbing, landscaping, heating/refrigeration, water purification and testing, well and water systems, and construction.
- Must have the ability to work independently and effectively manage time, able to deal with frustration, trustworthiness and dependability, the ability to communicate with outside contractors, and general mathematical ability.
- Must pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
- Surveys buildings and repairs mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Performs maintenance of electrical systems (replaces light bulbs and sockets, cleans and repairs circuit breaker panels etc.).
- Assists in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Maintains heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Inspects alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
- Performs manual repairs when necessary (fixes locks, replaces windows etc.).
- Performs general maintenance tasks including landscaping, dry-wall and building repair, plumbing, furniture repair, painting, and carpentry.
- Conducts periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Schedules and oversees inspections as needed.
- Performs preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Monitors equipment and supplies inventory and makes purchases/places orders when necessary.
- Compiles a log of all services and maintenance activities.
- Compiles a log of all preventative maintenance schedules and adheres to all state, federal and COA requirements.
- Oversees all work performed by contractors and vendors for repairs, maintenance, landscaping, and other maintenance related needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing, moving and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Works well independently and has strong time management skills
- Ability to safely climb ladders and on roofs.
- Must regularly walk and carry objects, go up and down stairs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to use common hand tools and occasionally sharp tools.
