Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join our design-build team. The candidate would work in a challenging, fast-paced environment under the guidance of our Senior Management Staff and Chief Engineer. The candidate should be independent, well-organized, and have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering consulting and/or design-build construction, including at least 3 years of project management experience. A Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering with some Structural Engineering experience is preferred, but a Bachelor’s Degree is acceptable. A licensed P.E. is preferred, but E.I.T. certification is acceptable.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND JOB DUTIES

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering consulting and/or design-build construction.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a project manager.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Master’s Degree preferred.

• E.I.T. certification. P.E. preferred.

• Evaluate job leads and formulate cost-effective solutions.

• Work independently on multiple projects.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Cost estimating.

• Write effective proposals that are attractive to potential customers.

• Effective at selling/closing jobs.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Client management/communication.

• Developing and maintaining client relationships beyond just one job.

• Organized, detailed-oriented problem solver with the ability to manage people and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively with our design and construction personnel.
