The Advanced Machine Operator position is responsible for completing machine or robot setup to ensure that production requirements are met. This may include computer programming, and setting and squaring off dies.

· Perform detailed set-ups and operations of CNC Machines and utilize conversational programming; Probes, Depth gages , Edge finders, G-Codes, Tool building, Tool Setting, Operation of Vertical CNC machines, Operation of Gantry Router CNC machines, Able to learn Solid works CAD, Able to learn Master Cam programming software, follow prints and perform QC checks utilizing micrometers/Edge finders/Calipers/Bore gages.

· Fabricate Aluminum and EPP masking aid components; Following prints to drill/tap and assemble large components, Utilizing drill presses/Tapping arms, Utilizing Hot wire machine, Utilizing Coolant controlled band saws and Vertical band saws.

· Perform maintenance tasks on CNC and Spray booth equipment; Grease and oil machines, Spindle maintenance , Booth/Robot maintenance, Machine building (Spindle changes, linear rail changes, cable management).

· Integrate masking aid systems; Assist with in plant support when necessary to integrate masking aids and robots, Travel when necessary to plants to help with fabrication and masking aid changes.

· Other duties as may be required.

· A minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent is required. Certificate or diploma in a relevant field considered an asset.

· Must have experience in a manufacturing environment and be familiar with machinery set-up.

· Must be aware of quality, productivity and safety standards as it relates to the job being performed and ensure they are consistently met. Must have a general understanding of Quality Systems Requirements IATF16949. Must have a technical background and have a general understanding of the function and operation of fabricating equipment. Must be able to read blueprints Must be able to read a tape measure. Must be team oriented. Must be aware of Epicor computer system log in and log out procedures.
