Job Description: The Director of Education will administrate the entire educational program for the museum. This includes the supervision and management of three permanent education department staff, several temporary staff during summer camp, and numerous volunteers associated with the creation and presentation of programs about nuclear science and history. Additional Areas of Responsibility: Responsible for curriculum development and integration, attention to state standards, presentation formats, overall education program quality, data collection and survey activities, grant funding deliverables, teacher interfaces, program guide development, enrichment, outreach services, student safety and employee safety, overseeing and implementing goals and objectives within the strategic plan. Other Information/Requirements: : The Director of Education will have at least five years of experience with informal museum education or similar informal or formal education experience. This person must have a high degree of personal energy and possess great interpersonal and administrative skills.
