The Fuel Logistics Specialist is responsible for the planning, fulfillment, inventory, customer service, and issue resolution associated with the company’s transportation, movement, and delivery of gasoline/diesel products from loading terminals to areas of operation.

General Responsibilities:

• Dispatches and arranges schedules for Drivers. Coordinates with Drivers to resolve any issues, problems, or concerns that may arise during delivery.
• Collaborates with customers and advises of Drivers’ schedules; addresses any concerns or route changes.
• Records bill of lading for incoming Drivers.
• Reviews reports to identify priority for deliveries to ensure that locations have an adequate supply.
• Provides a high level of customer service to accommodate changes in operation environment such a terminal outage, cancellations, rolled loads, truck breakdowns, etc. Answers and responds to incoming call related to fuel outages and works with internal partners to resolve.
• Utilizes fuel volume trends data to determine necessary loads and timing of deliveries.
• Assists Logistics Manager with maintaining carrier relationships.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience with dispatch and fuel; 1 year experience working within transportation or light oil industry; 1 year experience working in a scheduling environment; must have proven experience in a planning or problem-solving role, intermediate skills in MS Office Suite, some exposure to fuel industry and/or transportation industry systems; ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and able to sit for long periods of time.
