This role is to join our team as the Transactions Manager for USDA Loans. You’ll play a critical role in assisting the Growth Lending team with closing and monitoring loans. You will be responsible for managing loans from the pre-funding (legal) stage to harvest. You’ll ensure all phases are completed accurately and on time. We need someone with a strong background in loan coordination, with exceptional organizational skills and financial literacy. A strong understanding of USDA and/or government-backed loan programs is going to be essential too. You’ll be the first person in the team performing this role, so we need you to bring highly relevant experience.

Pre-fundingyou’ll be responsible for documentation management. You will own disbursement schedules and closing checklists. You’ll take the lead on AML/KYC and ensure the quality of legal documentation. After all, you’ll be the one to get everything signed. You’ll coordinate external checks and third-party monitoring. You’ll be well-used to checking WIP and encouraging multiple external providers to get their jobs done. To ensure you’re in the know, you’ll attend all USDA credit committee meetings, and you’ll own the Salesforce records on which we depend.

Post-fundingyou’ll become the person who links with all stakeholders. You’ll monitor the performance of each loan, providing clear and accurate investor reports. You’ll be the key liaison between the client and the lender, maintaining consistent, regular communication. In this role you’ll take on the responsibility of informing the business of any issues. You will collaborate with both our Underwriting and Debt Structuring teams to keep everything on track. An experienced member of the USDA team is moving from South Africa to Austin, so you’ll have a close colleague to work with.

This is the ideal role for someone who loves process and accuracy. However, you'll also be an excellent communicator who can speak to a wide audience. You will need to have a solid background in finance or business administration, and relevant work experience is essential. If you don’t have USDA-specific experience, you’ll need to show us that your related experience fits with the requirements of the role.
