Growth Orthopedics is seeking an Accounting Analyst to work in a dynamic environment supporting a local Orthopedic Practice, Bluegrass Orthopaedics, and an Ambulatory Surgery Center, Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center. We are looking for long term team members who will embrace Growth Orthopedics' ethics and can assist us in our continued planning and execution of our Strategic and Operational plans. This position will work in Matrix environment with dual reporting responsibility – Practice/ASC (SVP/Administrator) and Growth Ortho (Accounting/Finance Manager) with solid line reporting to the Practice/ASC and Specific (accounting and finance) tasks overseen by Growth Orthopedics.PROFILE SNAPSHOT

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in finance, economics, or statistics.
Experience
  • Minimum of two years’ accounting experience.
  • Sage Intacct software experience desired.
  • Healthcare financial management experience highly preferred.
Certifications/Licenses CPA track is desired, but not required

RESPONSIBILITES: 
  • Maintaining general ledger accounts, records for the preparation of financial statements.
  • Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly closing processes including performing monthly bank and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepares/maintains documentation for standard reporting processes and procedures and assists in developing and improving formal documentation processes.
  • Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
  • Assisting Growth Ortho Finance team as needed.
  • Analyzes business and financial data backed with appropriate research.
  • Conduct cost and benchmarking analyses.
  • Recommends financial areas that can be impacted by process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the financial status of the organization.
  • Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
  • Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
  • Reviews, analyzes monthly financial data, P&L’s and trends data for use by the Sr. Vice President and Sr. Administrator.
  • Assisting other team members in the department and the executive team as needed.
Requirements and Skills: 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across finance and operation teams.
  • Proficient in data analyses using spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications, and can translate financial understanding into operational initiatives to be reviewed and implemented by the operations teams as appropriate.
  • Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines and responding to change.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with clarity both verbally and in writing.
