Your opportunity: Assistant Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Assistant Project Manager – Job Duties:

You will work directly with clients in the Southern California (Orange County) area to oversee tenant improvement, renovation and new commercial construction projects, including interpreting plans and contract terms with subcontractors and ensuring subcontractors perform work timely and to specifications. You will visit the field on occasion and most of your work will be performed in an office setting.

• Create and update project cost loaded schedules using MS Project
• Accurately forecast budgets and spends – track subcontractor and vendor pricing and performance level
• Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans
• Prepares proposals, scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budgets, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control and risk identification
• Prepare contracts and validate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Manage subcontractor outreach for ISNetworld and DBE certified subcontractors
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, subcontractors and clients

Assistant Project Manager– You Have:

• Prior experience as an Assistant Project Manager, ideally with experience in new construction, office tenant improvements (commercial TIs) and retrofits / prior experience working with a commercial general contractor
• In depth knowledge of construction codes (including waterproofing systems, structural and exterior construction)
• Prior experience managing multiple commercial construction projects for multiple clients, including overseeing a team
• Experience using Procore construction software
• Proficient with computer software programs including, MS Project, MS Excel, and Office Suite
• Ability to successfully pass a background investigation prior to start date (many of our projects require security clearances)
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites throughout the Orange County area / valid driver's license

Assistant Project Manager – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or relevant field of study

Compensation $90K - $115K.

In addition, you will receive a weekly auto allowance every week that you are in the field, medical coverage with company contribution, dental and vision insurance covered by company, life insurance and retirement plan.
