Ranch Manager What You Will Do
You will oversee the on-site daily operations and long-term planning of a small ranch including managing livestock, pastures, and the overall well-being of the ranch.

• Oversee the nutrition and care of the livestock, including feed management, ensuring a balanced diet with supplemental feed including mineral
• Record pounds of feed and intake of the livestock
• Order approved feed
• Monitor animal health and administer vaccinations, medications, and other treatments when needed
• Maintain detailed records of livestock inventory, health
• Assist in developing standard operating procedures to assist in the care of young calves
• Ensure that ranch facilities are in working order and are clean and safety standards are maintained
• Oversight of pasture maintenance

Ranch Manager Required Skills, Experience Personality Fit
You have:

• A comprehensive understanding of bovine animal health and nutrition
• Spanish speaking read, write, and speak
• Limited to fluent in English
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) certification
• Ability to work on site at the ranch 5 to 6 days per week
• Operate equipment (tractor), lift hay, work hands-on

Ranch Manager You Might Have

• Experience in managing high risk young calves (animals with compromised immune systems or at risk of getting sick)

This role is 100% on-site in Browns Valley, California, working on the ranch, standing for long periods of time and working in outdoor conditions.
The company will provide for your TN work visa to work in California.
Compensation $68,000 to $80,000, depending on experience. The position is salary exempt, and not eligible for overtime.
