Sales Director - Cloud Managed Services - Seattle, WA

Gryphon Oakwood are seeking a seasoned Sales Director to lead the sales for a Cloud and Colocation provider in the Pacific Northwest. The role will focus on securing new business through both new and existing clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide the sales team through the entire client engagement cycle, from initial qualification to final negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate effectively across various departments, including Sales Engineering, Finance, Customer Support, and more.
  • Analyze sales funnel performance, revenue, and key metrics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Proactively address potential issues related to service delivery, operations, and product performance.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and prospects to ensure service satisfaction.
  • Cultivate a data-driven culture by encouraging competitive market analysis and intelligence.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of direct sales experience in data centers, with a focus on cloud managed services.
  • Proven track record in C-level selling and executive relationship development (network & data center solutions).
  • Deep understanding of emerging industry trends (NaaS, AI, SASE, private 5G, cloud adjacency architectures, sub-sea cables).
  • Ability to leverage knowledge of hybrid, private, and public cloud architectures in sales solutions.
  • Expertise in contracts and negotiating complex agreements, amendments, and renewals.
  • Proven ability to manage pipelines and develop accurate sales forecasts (monthly & quarterly).
  • Strong product knowledge across IaaS, SaaS, and private cloud connections.
  • A history of successfully setting sales strategies for large accounts and driving results through strategic account planning.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Capacity to assess client needs, budget constraints, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Comfort level interacting at the C-level, both internally and with clients.
  • Self-motivated, independent, resourceful, and adaptable.
