1 year contract assignment, supporting the design/construction of the Hanford Vit Plant in Richland, WA. 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off. $80-93/hr, per diem of $100/day, mob/demob provided.

Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, from an accredited university, with 9 years of related electrical engineering experience.
• Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Background in design engineering, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with ETAP, CAD 2D, and cable design/routing software.
• Experience with an electronic Cable Management System (such as the SETROUTE).
• Extensive knowledge & application of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE Standards.
• Extensive knowledge with electrical systems, schematics and electrical equipment layouts.
• Extensive knowledge on electrical equipment specification and material requisitions process, and developing procurement documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

• PE Registration.
• Lead or supervisory experience.
• Previous DOD or DOE project experience.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct primary engineering activities to provide the engineering design for HLW electrical systems and equipment for the entire facility in preparation for procurement and construction. This work includes the use of SETROUTE, BlockDraw and ETAP for the HLW design.
• Work with wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, 1-line and 3-line drawings, schematics, electrical equipment layout and be able to size equipment and perform cable sizing calculations.
• Perform special tasks and calculations/studies. Conducts checking as required.
• Properly interpret and apply codes & standards and customer design requirements, for applicability to electrical design documents, specifications, material requisitions and system descriptions related to design tasks. Ability to cope with conflicting deadline, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks.
• Use Cable Management System, such as the SETROUTE program, and input and complete corrections to the data base.
