Job Title: Regional Vice President

Position Summary: Directs and coordinates regional activities of contract security services operations to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the region. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Motivation - Sets and achieves challenging goals; Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles; Measures self against standard of excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company service and operating standards.
  • Plans develop and implement regional policies and goals.
  • Coordinates activities of Branches such as operations, and administration to effect operational efficiency and economy.
  • Leads in meeting client needs; meet with clients regularly, listens to issues, provides security and technical expertise and solutions. Ensures complete customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinates all operating activities with all other functions of the organization to obtain optimum service and utilization of human resources and equipment; creates action plans around key problem areas and constraints.
  • Develops and manages the regions annual budget and managing the monthly P&L. Identifies areas in which reductions can be made, and maintains operating budget. Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Confers with branch and corporate personnel and reviews activity, and operating reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
  • Promotes organization in industry meetings as appropriate and attends trade associations.
  • Manages security operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs, and image.
  • Ensures the successful operational implementation of new contract start-up, including personnel requirements, material, training, facility, and equipment needs.
  • Reviews service and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, service, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent lost coverage;
  • Partners with Corporate to ensure thorough training of all assigned employees in the area of client, company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. Coordinates and/or conducts client/site-specific training and annual refresher training for security personnel, as well as meet corporate training standards.
  • Ensures that all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime. Ensures that overtime costs are managed effectively within company targets.
  • Conduct interviewing & hiring to standards. Knowledge of legal aspects of HR required. Manage open positions, cross-training and overtime. Assist with the maintenance of a flex/rover pool and assist with mentoring managers and supervisors. Conduct interviewing & hiring to standards.
  • Assist in Preparation & editing SOP Manuals, Read Files, Post Orders, and site documentation. Keep all files current.
  • Provide emergency response and operational support, as required.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports on all aspects of the Regional Operations: track employee evaluations, inspections & audits, serious incident reporting & investigations, financial reporting, trending, action plans.
  • Process various reports to monitor operational progress, spot any potential problems or trends to assist the management team with improving operations and/or customer partnerships.
  • Mentor and support managers and supervisors. Work with the Regional Vice President and Human Resources as needed on all employee relations situations and concerns
  • Assist with training of new officer’s supervisors and managers with regards to Branch operations. New Hire Training, Wintean, Trak Tik Tour systems, etc.as needed.
  • Perform all other functions and duties as required or assigned by GSG and/or the Client.
  • Must be able to multi-task and self-manage in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to deal professionally in stressful situations with a high degree of conflict management & resolution skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all GSG policies and procedures.
  • Maintain effective relationships with all levels of the company and client organizations.
  • Maintain the highest ethical and professional standards.
  • Implement and enforce all safety rules and procedures as established by GSG Protective Services and post specific orders.
  • Perform all duties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Practice all safety rules and procedures, always, as established by GSG Protective Services to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Use computer, cloud and smart phone-based systems to conduct a variety of activities including completion of complicated and complex reports.
  • Must be able to travel freely within their assigned regional for day to day tasks. Must be able to travel to meeting, seminars and other events outside the region.
  • Additional tasks and duties will be assigned as necessary by GSG Protective Services.

Requirements

The Regional Vice President position has the following requirements:

  • 24 years of age
  • Proficient in computer and smart phone usage
  • Documents that establish identity
  • Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 10 Years Security or Related Experience
  • 2 Years Scheduling Experience with a minimum of 2000 weekly hours
  • 6 years of progressively responsible supervisory/management experience in the security industry.
  • Good driving Record that meets the requirements as set by the GSG Driver Authorization Policy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Meet all requirements as required in the GSG Driver & Weapons Authorization Policy.

Special Requirement

  • Maintain valid registration as a security guard throughout employment.
  • Maintain valid driver license in good standing and continue to meet all requirements of the GSG Driver Authorization Policy.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 5 years military or law enforcement experience
