Accounts Payable Processing Specialist

GT Mid Atlantic, a leading construction equipment dealership in PA, MD, NJ and DE has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist in our Essex, MD location. This position is responsible processing and posting supplier invoices, reviewing supplier statements, supporting Accounts Payable processes as required. The individual in this position should be personable, have AP processing experience, and be a problem-solver. This is a full-time, Monday thru Friday on-site role.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Ensure daily posting and payment of a variety of invoices.
• Ensure distribution of parts suppliers’ invoices daily to parts and service departments.
• Ensure daily closing of drop ship parts orders from supplier invoices.
• Ensure daily parts invoice matching process and approval in ERP system is conducted.
• Ensure posting of supplier invoices after verification of accuracy for due dates, discounts, amount.
• Review monthly selected vendor statements for accuracy. Work with the supplier and company personnel to resolve discrepancies.
• Support the team and other departments in establishing new suppliers; setup new suppliers in the ERP.
• And all other duties as assigned.

Skills and Attributes:

• At least 3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping
• Prior experience leading or managing hourly accounting employees strongly preferred
• Able to set and identify priorities to remain current with AP needs
• Excellent organizational skills
• Very good customer service skills
• Very good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to be an effective team member
• Ability to work independently
• Very good working knowledge of Excel a plus
• Excellent data entry skills
• Very good overall computer skills
