Project Manager
Job Responsibilities:
  • This non-exempt position will develop, execute, and manage IT projects within the defined scope.
  • Works with business and IT management to establish project goals, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Assess the degree to which changes to scope, issues, and risks will affect projects working with department, management, and sponsor to gain agreement for resolution.
  • Measure performance to ensure the project is progressing as compared to the original plan and budget.
  • Develops and executes a work plan obtaining authorized resources to ensure all activities are performed.
  • Gather lessons learned and obtain final project approval from the sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to the Project Team and Department manager.
  • Coordinate resources to ensure project needs are addressed and effectively assign tasks and deliverables to team members based upon their abilities.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • At the department level or provides assistance to Program or Project managers on phases of a larger project.
  • Make decisions that impact project-level activities.
  • Influence project-level budget.
Must Haves:
  • IT Software project management in a waterfall setting - need to be a leader, proactive Software delivery projects - must be computer IT related, building new computer systems
  • Not looking for scum master experience
  • 15 years of IT project management projects – do not want to see more experience than this (20 years will be considered overqualified)
  • Mid-level project management role – running day-to-day operations
  • Check to see if candidates have IT Project Management experience starting in 2010
  • Good step up for candidates who have done smaller projects
  • Consistent IT Project Management experience
  • Consistent job titles – no back slashes/title changes to match JP
  • Infrastructure systems experience in an IT setting (software-based)
  • Highly interpersonal role - need to be comfortable speaking
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • At least 3 yrs. experience in project management, business systems analysis, or software development.
Additional Notes:
  • Tactical day-to-day position for someone with 10 to 15 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
  • This is a mid-level position so anyone who is a Sr. IT Project Manager, Director, or Program Manager is overqualified
  • This is not a scum master position
  • Software technical ability beyond typical project manager – able to understand MS Azure, IT networking, security, processes, procedures, and evaluate technical requests
  • Supporting Pacemaker Software
  • Strong speaking/writing/soft/interpersonal skills
  • The position is customer-facing and one must be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and properly to clients
  • Must be highly organized
  • Must be able to professionally handle conflict and identify resolutions acceptable to all parties
  • The position is relationship based and in-person contact with the broader team in the office is critical
  • We are not able to convert remote contractors to FTEs
  • The position will contain frequent whiteboard sessions in the office, physical presence is required for such meetings to be fruitful.
