gtt is Hiring a Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit Near Watertown, NY
- Contract Duration 13 weeks
- Pay rate up to $75/hr
- 60-Mile Radius Rule
- 12hr Nights - weekend, holiday, and call required
- 7 pm-7:30 am
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current critical care experience preferred.
- Must have a current RN license.
- Traveler must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment. New travelers will not be considered.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
- Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement the use of lifts or move patients in a safe manner.
- Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required.
- Current NYS RN license.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.
- PALS preferred.
- IV and IV contrast certification is required.
- Coronary care course or successful completion of challenge exam within the orientation period.
- Basic lethal dysrhythmia within six months of employment., and NIHSS certification within the first 6 months of employment.
- Previous Samaritan employees have to be gone at least 2 years and be eligible for rehire to be considered. (Contact facility for inquires) The permanent residence of the traveler must be at least 60 miles away.
