The Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools serves 1600 students from PreK-12 and is a free, open-enrollment public charter school. Over 96% of our students are Latinx. Our school system consists of Guadalupe Centers High School, Guadalupe Centers Middle School, and Guadalupe Centers Elementary School, including our PreK. Our system grew out of Guadalupe Centers’ educational programming. Guadalupe Centers is the longest continuously operating agency serving the Latinx community in the US since 1919. Summary:
A registered behavior technician, or RBT, implements care plans for children. RBTs also assist with the delivery of behavior analysis services and practices. These professionals care for children with a wide range of behavioral challenges and collaborate with peers. They assist in the implementation of care plans and work with children one-on-one in the school setting. They facilitate behavior change by modifying maladaptive behaviors and replacing them with appropriate behaviors.

An RBT seeks to reduce certain maladaptive behaviors. The RBT must be able to follow the behavior reduction protocol created by the School.
It is important to keep accurate records and report results and data. These recordings can help determine which aspects of treatment are working and which are not.
