Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as an HR Communications, Sr. Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing internal communication strategies to engage employees, promote organizational culture, and support HR initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute internal communication plans, including email campaigns, newsletters, intranet content, and social media posts, to effectively communicate HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
Collaborate with HR leaders and other stakeholders to understand communication and change management needs and objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Support the Chief People Officer and the People Team on internal communications, including All Hands and organizational communications
Create compelling and engaging content, including articles, videos, graphics, and presentations, to convey key messages and promote employee engagement and participation.
Manage and maintain internal communication channels, such as the company intranet, email distribution lists, and employee forums, to ensure timely and relevant communication to all employees.
Create and maintain scalable templates that can be leveraged across teams and programs
Monitor and analyze communication metrics and employee feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide communication and change management support for HR programs and events, such as benefits enrollment, training initiatives, employee recognition programs, and town hall meetings.
Serve as a liaison between HR and other departments to facilitate communication and collaboration on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Develop and implement communication strategies that promote and enhance diversity and inclusion within the organization, ensuring content is inclusive and accessible to diverse employee groups.
Stay current on industry trends and best practices in internal communications and recommend innovative approaches to enhance employee engagement and communication effectiveness.
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or related field; advanced degree or certification in Communications or HR preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or related field.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging communication content for a diverse audience.
Proficiency in communication tools and platforms, including in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage email communications, create professional documents, and develop compelling presentations. Must be capable of leveraging these tools to enhance internal communications and improve operational efficiency.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for developing innovative communication strategies and tactics.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of HR policies, programs, and practices preferred, with a desire to learn and grow in the field of HR communications.
Hybrid Work Model : At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,500 to $116,000. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000 to $136,400. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
