Assembly Supervisor

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job description is to provide a brief overview of the responsibilities of an Assembly Supervisor. The task list presented below is not considered comprehensive and therefore additional tasks beyond the scope of this job description can be assigned as needed by Guardian management.

SCOPE:

This job description refers to any member of staff with responsibilities regarded as supervisorial that also carries the supervisor title. Any employee who may perform the specified duties at the request of management without the appropriate title cannot claim supervisorial status or the benefits thereof.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for all daily operation functions within his or her assigned area. This means he or she clearly defines daily goals and assignments to employees under his or her supervision.

SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, AND/OR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Makes and posts daily schedules for operators.
• Oversees day-to-day operations of production lines.
• Monitors timekeeping
• Tracks vacation time taken by employees.
• Tracks daily overtime.
• Writes accident/incident reports after holding appropriate investigations.
• Is responsible for overtime notifications.
• Tracks and monitors and additional tooling needed for specific jobs.
• Coordinates with Receiving, Inventory, QA, R&D, etc. departments regarding the work in his or her area of supervision.
• Is responsible for identifying and reporting issues related to non-conformance.
• Assists higher management as required.
• Ensures there is a backlog of trained operators to cover absenteeism and vacations.
• Monitors operators so they adhere to daily checklists and standard operating procedures.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Associates Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience is required. preferred 2 years plus.
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
