What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Specialist position at Guardian Protective Devices Inc.?
We are seeking to employ a detail-minded individual to work as a machine operator in an expanding aerosol business. As the business continues to grow, there will be opportunities to explore more positions. Training will be provided to those with basic mechanical knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Subject Matter Expertise:
- Maintains and executes proficiency with forklift operation, MBC aerosol filling machine, in-line printer, check-weigher, filling bench, water bath, label machine, label software, assembly process, and workshop tools needed for technical builds.
- Troubleshoot as necessary if any issues arise during production.
Production and Project Management:
- Communicates regularly with managers regarding problems or issues impacting production. Collaborates to resolve concerns.
Quality Management:
- Strictly follows quality control procedures for manufacturing and records processing.
- Performs spot checks on active work orders to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Maintains a clear and organized workspace.
- Maintains machinery and tools to ensure effective and safe functionality.
- Maintains compliance with applicable health and safety standards including OSHA and NFPA.
Maintenance and Formulation:
- Mixes / prepares raw materials required to support projects.
Inventory and Record Control:
- Maintains a record of materials used and product yield for each work order.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
