Guernsey County Children Services Board strives to assure all children have an environment free of abuse and neglect while assisting to preserve and empower families to provide for the safety and security needs of their children.

We provide the following services in this area:

· Screening of allegations of child abuse, neglect, dependency, & families in need of services

Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Treatment Foster Care Coordinator to join our team. The TFCC will play a crucial role in supporting individuals who are licensed to provide care to children with high needs or developmental disabilities in the custody of Children Services. This is a grant funded position as part of a Pilot Program.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development and day-to-day maintenance of The Tri-County (Guernsey, Holmes, Wayne) Treatment Foster Care program
• Completes all activities required and requested per county to implement, recruit, approve, license and monitor the treatment foster care program.
• Coordinates and facilitates regularly-scheduled group meetings with Treatment Foster Caregivers (TFCs) to provide support, ensure training, etc.
• Creates and monitors service contracts for TFCs
• Creates and maintains policies/procedures for Treatment Foster Care program
• Acts as clinical liaison between child, TFCs, child’s primary therapist, and birth family.
• Develops a targeted recruitment strategy for treatment level foster homes by various means including but not limited to: social media, public campaigns, advertising, and coordinating, planning, and hosting community awareness and orientation events. B. Serves as Treatment Team Leader for foster children with Special or Exceptional Needs: has primary responsibility for day-to- day leadership of the treatment team and for preparation of the written Treatment Service Plan (TSP), and any revisions thereto.
• Oversees the case management of no more than 25 treatment level children from the tri-county collaborative and no more than 8 treatment foster homes within the tri-county collaborative.
• Monitors child’s diagnostic assessment results and clinical intervention plans to ensure accuracy of diagnosis and appropriateness of intervention modality
• Works with the child’s primary case worker and, when applicable to ensure the creation and review of child’s TSP
• Ensures TFCs have the knowledge and support to implement TSPs and to address child’s behaviors
• Provides clinical case management to such children, their birth families, and their treatment foster caregivers.
• Via in-home and other contacts with the child’s treatment foster parent(s)): ensures treatment foster caregiver(s) understands and carries out their role in the implementation of the child’s TSP.
• Via supervised or monitored parent-child visitation, in-home, and other contacts with the child’s birth family: ensures the birth family understands and carries out their role in the implementation of the child’s TSP.
• Is available on an on-call basis to provide clinical case management and crisis intervention.
• Develops a crisis intervention plan for after hours response

Required for hire:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, LISW, or LPCC-S
• Two years experience in group facilitation preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of families
• Must have valid Ohio driver’s license and proper insurance

Preferred (may acquire after hire):

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to mediate; willingness to make quick decisions; strong organizational skills
• Ability to independently manage responsibility of program and service area
• Knowledge of strength-based, solution-focused, family centered practice Adoption Assessor certification, or willingness to obtain
• Knowledge of OAC Treatment Foster Care rules
• Skills in safety and risk assessment, and safety and case planning to ensure safety and promote permanency
• Understanding of agency practices, applicable laws, and best practice standards
• Mediation experience/credentials
• Proficient in OCALM/OCAF system
• Ability to work in Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.55 - $29.15 per hour
