Description

Job Summary: The Ticket Seller is responsible for the processing of single ticket sales to various events at the STAPLES Center, Microsoft Theater, and The Novo. The Ticket Seller will also work Will Call windows during events, as well as customer service windows and any other related ticketing duties. The Ticket Seller is expected to maintain accuracy in handling all financial and ticketing transactions. Key Job Factors: Level of accountability: Closely supervised Level of decision making: Primarily routine tasks Has contact with: Inside / Outside company Supervision: Does not directly supervise or manage others Position Title(s) of Direct Report(s): N/A Physical Requirements: Light, occasional physical effort Travel Percentage (%): Not Applicable Essential Duties: Process single ticket sales at the Box Office. 60% Daily Distribute Will Call tickets for events. 15% Daily Provide information to patrons concerning performances and ticketing policies. 15% Daily Answer the general Box Office phone line and provide customer support to guests calling in with questions. 5% Daily Provide support to other Managers, Administrators, and Supervisors as needed within the Box Office. 5% Daily Required Qualifications: A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Able to accurately and efficiently deal with large quantities of cash and other payment methods; prior cash handling experience required. Able to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Understand or able to learn basic computer skills. Show commitment and willingness to provide excellent customer service. Excellent skills in customer relations, communications, and problem solving. Willing and able to set a great example for other staff. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with ticketing systems, especially Veritix and Outbox Bi-lingual is a plus (Spanish, other languages) Other: Must be available to work 4 out of the 5 weekend shifts: Friday evening from 5pm CLOSE Saturday morning from OPEN 5pm Saturday evening from 5pm CLOSE Sunday morning from OPEN 5pm Sunday evening from 5pm CLOSE
