SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Automotive Mechanic is responsible for the care, service, and repair of all rolling vehicles at CIMI Toyon Bay and Fox Landing. Additionally, this position will be responsible for maintaining a tidy and organized work area at the auto pad.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone
Primary Responsibilities
- Examine vehicles based on needs while maintaining regularly scheduled maintenance
- Perform basic routine maintenance on all vehicles, including changing motor oil, rotating tires, and checking fluid levels
- Repair or replace worn parts and systems such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems and sensors
- Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both manual and computerized diagnostic equipment
- Maintain inventory of maintenance parts in stock and order more in coordination with Facilities Director
- Maintain service records
- Provide routine maintenance to Kawasaki Mules
- Repair and replace parts on Mules as necessary and within the skill set
- Provide routine maintenance to Caterpillar Tractor, including checking fluids, cleaning, and grease fittings
- Maintain a clean work environment at Auto Pad
- High school diploma
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Effective oral and written communication
- Basic computer operations
- Basic organizational skills
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift to 50 pounds
- ASE certification preferred
