Gulf Coast Health Center is Hiring a Dentist Near Port Arthur, TX

Our local healthcare facility is looking to hire a full-time Dentist to join their team! This full-time position offers the potential for growth, a friendly staff, and an opportunity to enhance the health of our dedicated patients.

Our facility has been proudly serving Southeast Texas for over 25 years by providing quality, affordable, and accessible primary medical, dental, and behavioral health care to the community, and we want to expand our dynamic team with you.

Responsibilities:

  • Examines patients requesting care, diagnoses their dental/oral conditions, prescribes and carries out, or directs others in carrying out, appropriate dental/oral treatment, or refers individuals for specialty consultation or treatment in conformance with approved clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Records patient-dentist transactions as they occur in the patient's dental record so that the dental record accurately and completely reflects the nature of the contact, the condition of the patient and the care or treatment provided.
  • Completes referrals, data collections instruments and other records or paper works as shall be required from time to time by the corporation.
  • Educates individuals in the nature of oral health related conditions and in the general promotion of oral health related disease prevention.
  • Performing dental procedures, such as extractions, root canals, and filling cavities.
  • Applying helpful agents to teeth, such as sealants or whiteners.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted license from Texas State Board of Dental Examiners to practice as a dentist in Texas required.
  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited school required.
