Gundersen Health System is seeking a CT Scan Technologist! This is your opportunity to provide care to patients while doing the work you love in the beautiful Coulee Region. What You Will Do:
  • Perform high quality radiographic exams and procedures to aide in medical diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
  • .9 FTE (72 hours every two weeks)
  • 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (primarily days)
  • Rotating weekends
  • On-call every eighth weekend

What Do You Need:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography(ARRT)
  • Wisconsin employees must be a Licensed Radiographer with the State of Wisconsin (LICRAD-WI)

It is who we are.Job Description:Performs high quality CT exams and procedures to aide in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Works with Gundersen Health System patients and their families to provide compassionate, individualized care in the provision of Computed Tomography services.
  • Understands and applies the concepts of CT when performing CT examinations.
  • Demonstrates competency of established protocols and equipment operations to perform CT examinations.
  • Provides best image quality possible to Radiologists and Providers for interpretation.
  • Provides high quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Educates patients regarding exam or procedure.
  • Assures patient safety and comfort during exam or procedure.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media or medications within accepted scope of practice.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding patient and organizational information.
  • Responsible for attending staff meetings, in-services and continuing education. Continually strives to learn new technical information.
  • Operates job-related equipment and performs maintenance associated with equipment.
  • Utilizes knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • Instructs and mentors new staff and students. Assumes responsibility to provide a high-quality learning environment.
  • Technologist may be assigned to a primary site but is required to cover other sites as needed.
  • Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested.
RequiredEducation and Learning:Post High School education in a specialized field: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
DESIRED
Bachelor's degree in a related field
RequiredWork Experience:1 year Clinical experience in radiology technology program.

1 year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
RequiredLicense and Certifications:American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT)
American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography & Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) within two years of hire
Wisconsin employees must be a Licensed Radiographer with the State of Wisconsin (LICRAD-WI)
Iowa employees must have a Permit to Practice from the Iowa Department of Public Health (RADTECH-IA)
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
