The Data Architect will support a project to modernize the customer's data collection processes by transitioning from over 200 outdated and siloed systems to an integrated, agile, and secure enterprise platform. This new system will streamline census data management, survey operations, and data collection activities while maintaining high standards for data integrity and security. The platform will ensure that all collected data is readily available, easily accessible, and optimized for efficient integration into downstream processes for analysis and reporting.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models that define how data is stored, processed, and accessed.
• Designing solutions to integrate data from various sources within the organization.
• Planning future databases and evaluating current data architecture.
• Keeping databases secure and ensuring that data is accurate and accessible.
• Contributing to the development of the organization's data strategy.
• May develop appropriately supporting automation scripts.
• May provide work leadership for lower level employees.

Required Qualifications :

• 8 years of experience.
• USDA NASS experience.
• Experience with: .NET, Design patterns, architecture, SQL, UML, TFS, Github, APIs, Cloud Architecture (Azure), Azure tools, PaaS, MSSQL, MySQL, Microservices Architecture, Agile Methodology, Jira, Security, DevOPS/DevSecOPS

Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, equivalent work experience may be considered.

Clearance Requirement : Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
