Gunnison Consulting Group Inc is Hiring a Security Control Assessor Representative (SCA-R) Team Lead Near Fort Meade, MD

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Control Assessor Representative (SCA-R) Team Lead that can bring demonstrated experience to support a Department of Defense customer. The team will support the client in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing computing risks while developing strategies to secure the Agency's systems, networks, and data. It will ensure the accreditation of systems through robust cybersecurity strategies and continuous monitoring to protect against internal and external threats. The program's goal is to enhance cybersecurity, ensuring that information infrastructure remains secure, accessible, and trusted by authorized users. Location: Hybrid, Fort Meade, MD area Duties and responsibilities include: Team Lead over Assessors Perform weekly system updates, maintain accurate system records, and address and complete all assigned tasks Manage cybersecurity assessments and risk analysis (operational and technical) against all assigned systems using approved RE5 tools and processes Communicate with assigned ISSM/PMO to understand the mission and business functions, security architecture, deployment locations, and planned and projected architectural and functional changes of each assigned System Lead a team to review and perform a technical review of a system Scope the appropriate assessment areas, conduct an in-brief, perform a daily hot wash with the assessor team and system's site personnel, develop an out-brief using the appropriate Government tool Prepare an Authorization Assessment Packages Required Qualifications : 12 years in experience in Cybersecurity area 5 to 8 years Certification and Accreditation/A&A 3 to 5 years Security Control Assessor/Validator Experience 5 years of project management work experience Demonstrated leadership skills/Previous lead position Customer service skills Project Management skills - Proficient with RMF process, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1253 DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level III certification. This will change to a DoD 8140 equivalent once a DISA 8140 policy is released Desired Qualifications: PMP certification Experience with the following tools: Travel Request Information Processing System (TRIPS) eMASS DoD IT Portfolio Repository (DITPR) Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS) Request Tasking System (RTS) Team Lead Resource (TLR) Whitelist, VDP, OPORDs System/Network Approval Process (SNAP) GIG Interconnection Approval Process (GIAP) Enterprise Security Posture System (ESPS) PPSM CSSP APL nSPECT Axonius BURP Checkmarx Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or IT or Engineering or related disciplines preferred. Clearance Requirement : Top Secret with SCI eligibility required.
