Overview
Guy Hopkins Construction is seeking a skilled Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage ground up retail construction projects throughout the Southeast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and be capable of leading a team to successful project completion.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise commercial construction projects.
- Supervise and Manage day-to-day operations of the construction site.
- Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction document
- Manage subcontractors and vendors and construction site organization
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance
- Utilize project management software for efficient project tracking
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in the commercial construction area
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Southeast
- Proficient with project plans and specifications
- Strong project management and communications skills
- Capable to lift, carry, push/pull construction materials
- Ability to read construction documents
