THE ROLE
Our organization is rapidly growing and evolving, and we’re looking to add a Business Development
Associate to our team. As our Business Development Associate, you will:
The successful candidate will be a curious and continuous learner, with an insatiable appetite to
remain current on industry trends. Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple
projects and works streams simultaneously is a requirement. We are a small and growing
organization, where everyone wears multiple hats. Our Business Development Associate will
seamlessly transition between on-going work, new projects, and ad-hoc requests as demands on
their time evolve throughout the day. We would expect you to lead meetings with executive teams,
be willing to unload the dishwasher, present to our Investment Committee, and everything in
between. The successful candidate is a self-starter who can operate autonomously, while proactively
communicating updates to the team, and pulling in others as needed.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining communications for our investment team, and
various external audiences including bankers, brokers, limited partners, management teams, and
more. Strong attention to detail is crucial to ensure accuracy of information, and your ability to meet
agreed upon deadlines in this fast-paced role. You will need to prepare various deal-related
documents, including nondisclosure agreements and indications of interest. This process requires
strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Your day to day will include connecting with many different types of people in our ecosystem. While
exciting, there will also be times when you are expected to deliver a difficult message. The right
candidate will not shy away from a difficult conversation and always maintain professionalism.
