Gymreapers is Hiring a Director of Wholesale Operations Near Nampa, ID

Employment Status: Full-time, benefits eligible
Location: This position is located at our new Gymreapers HQ in Nampa, ID
Schedule: M-F on-site, 8-5/flex according to business needs
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Director of Wholesale Operations to own the strategic planning and execution of our wholesale fulfillment operations. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of products to our wholesale partners, managing orders for large and small retailers, and optimizing operational processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, managing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) connections, interpreting and adhering to routing guides from retailers, onboarding vendors, negotiating contracts, sourcing consumables, and overseeing budgetary responsibilities.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation and utilization of ERP systems for wholesale fulfillment operations.
  • Manage EDI connections with wholesale partners to facilitate seamless electronic transactions.
  • Provide ongoing reporting and reconciliation of EDI purchase order pipeline to highlight and resolve any potential fulfillment issues.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity between ERP systems, EDI platforms, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Interpret and adhere to routing guides from all retailers and ensure compliance with their requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to meet retailer-specific shipping and labeling requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailer logistics teams to resolve any compliance issues.
  • Knowledge of Full Truckload (FTL), Less than Truckload (LTL), and other trucking carriers utilized for delivering inventory to wholesale accounts as well as internal transfers.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to wholesale partners.
  • Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate transportation contracts to optimize service levels and minimize costs.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring alignment with company standards and retailer requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize wholesale fulfillment processes, including order processing, inventory management, and shipping.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Accounting, Customer Experience, and other Operations departments, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regards to shipping windows for orders and communication with warehouses and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the wholesale fulfillment operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or Related Field.
  • 5 years of experience in wholesale operations management.
  • Extensive experience in wholesale fulfillment operations, with a focus on ERP systems management, EDI connections, and routing guide compliance.
  • Proven track record of successfully onboarding vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Knowledge of store operations and customer service standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and retail management software.
