We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to work on our Data Solutions Data Governance team as a Senior Business Analyst. The ideal candidate has experience with implementing data governance concepts, including data security, data stewardship, metadata management, data quality, data lifecycle, and compliance. The candidate must have a strong acumen around gathering requirements, collaboration with business and technical teams, data profiling, analysis, problem solving, and communicating their requirements, analysis, problem/solution statements to peers, cross functional teams, and leaders.

What You’ll do:  

• Utilize your Data Governance experience to guide our data teams to improve better data security, data lifecycle, data quality, and data management practices.
• Implement and manage access controls for data through standardizing security patterns, identifying anomalies, creating new polices, creating data access rules, and resolving issues.
• Perform discovery, analysis, and create technical requirements for security auditing, monitoring, regulation, and encryption for data teams. 
• Proactively analyze data for the team, department, and/or yourself, investigating, and communicating which areas need improvement driving a better data governance framework.
• Assist with the creation of critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), build Tableau dashboards that highlight goals and performance around objectives.
• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Analyst, and Data Infrastructure leaders as key stakeholders/customers, providing insight, recommendations, and solutions that aligns with data governance objectives while maintaining legal and compliance regulations (such as PII, HIPPA, PCI, TDPSA).

Who You Are 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred). 
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis. 
• Strong experience in data governance principles and practices. 
• Advanced knowledge of business analysis methodologies and tools. 
• Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement. 
• Experience in system integration and process improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. 
• Familiarity with project management methodologies.
• Ability to mentor junior Partners on the team. 
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to data management. 
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 
• Familiarity with agile methodologies 
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
