Position Highlights:
The Clinical Systems Analyst II provides support in the selection, installation, configuration, conversion, implementation and ongoing utilization of clinical systems. This position analyzes, programs, tests, implements and maintains clinical information systems, as well as provides advanced knowledge in problem determination, evaluation, and resolution.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's Degree, Cerner Certification, relevant experience in a health care environment, and 5 years of Information System development/implementation/support
Responsibilities:
Provides advanced expertise and product knowledge to install, configure, and support application
systems.
Provides advanced expertise in problem determination, evaluation, and resolution.
Provides operational systems support to clients.
Codes and modifies software modules as necessary.
Assists in determining and defining departmental training needs.
Provides on-call support in accordance with the on-call calendar.
Assists with project and program development.
Reviews and documents project specifications.
Identifies and documents system requirements.
Assists in the development and monitoring of project schedules.
Develops and coordinates comprehensive test plans.
Prepares project status reports.
Monitors project progress and updates project tracking system.
Reviews system studies.
Performs detailed test scenarios to minimize negative impact on clients.
Performs post-implementation support of new or re-engineered systems.
Assists in developing end user training sessions.
Other duties as assigned.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree plus Five (5) years of information system development, implementation, and support.
- An additional 4 years directly related
work experience on top of the 5 years required
(a total of 9) may be considered in lieu of a
Bachelor's Degree
- Cerner build experience and experience with ESH, security location build, priv/prev, app groups/tasks, and moderate knowledge of CCL and interfaces.
Demonstrated verbal, written, listening and analytical skills. Working proficiency in Microsoft Office
applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access, and website navigation. Demonstrated sound analytical skills in the evaluation of client needs.
Preferred:
- Relevant experience as outlined above in a health care environment
