Pay : $55,000 base with lucrative territory commission potential

Key Qualifications :

We are seeking a highly motivated self-starter, results-driven individual that possesses the following qualifications :

  • Knowledge of construction equipment
  • Ability to prospect and cultivate new accounts while also serving existing customers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers
  • PC Proficient (Including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software)
  • Good influencing skills and economically motivated
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for travel *This is an outside sales position*

Responsibilities :

Effectively and efficiently manage and develop the assigned sales territory

  • Maximize the Caterpillar percentage of industry new sales
  • Ensure adequate and cost-effective sales coverage of all existing accounts
  • Actively develop and pursue new general line accounts / prospects within the assigned territory
  • Maintain and communicate awareness of the state of the construction industry as well as all competitive activity within the sales territory
  • Maintain and communicate accurate data with respect to the activities of the customers and the interaction between the customers, H.O. Penn, and its competitors

Contribute to the achievement of the overall corporate goals through the profitable sale, rental or leasing of Caterpillar equipment in the assigned sales territory

  • Successfully sell, rent, and lease Caterpillar equipment or any other H.O. Penn product offerings in the assigned territory
  • Utilize all the selling tools provided to see the features / benefits of Caterpillar equipment and the value of the total product and product support offerings of H.O. Penn
  • Expand the customer base in the territory with particular emphasis on the growth opportunities afforded H.O. Penn Machinery through the Building Construction Products market segment

Effectively and efficiently contribute to the quality of the customers’ experience with H.O. Penn Machinery Company

  • Become an integral part of the customer’s business
  • Adequately represent the customers’ needs to H.O. Penn Machinery Company
  • Utilize the assets at hand : computer based analytical tools, seminars, factory tours to enhance the profitability of the customers operations
  • Become a part of the territory’s business community through meaningful involvement in trade and community associations
  • Continually strive to develop product and industry knowledge and business intellect

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and / or sitting for prolonged periods of time
  • Hand coordination (typing and writing)
  • Occasional forward bending and reaching
  • Occasional walking and climbing stairs
  • Carrying (up to 20lbs.)
