Description

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

A Store Manager will oversee a retail location’s staff and activities to achieve a profit while providing exceptional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversees staff and fulfills staffing needs for regular hours, as well as special events or high-traffic times.
  2. Maintains and motivates a positive sales team through communication, incentives, and evaluations.
  3. Confirms daily sales reports and cash receipts; ensures deposits are made regularly and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies.
  4. Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
  5. Plans, organizes, and coordinates sales, marketing, and budgeting.
  6. Develops, oversees, and maximizes retail budget and product inventory, purchasing, and sales.
  7. Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
  8. Collaborates with regional managers and owners to develop, coordinate, and identify cost-effective advertising and hiring strategies.
  9. Uses company software to research, analyze, and track purchases and sales.
  10. Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting.
  11. Places and rotates merchandise to attract positive attention from customers.
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  13. Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment by interacting with peers, management and support resources in a way that promotes teamwork and a commitment

to excellence.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Interviews, selectively hires, and trains staff for the retail location.
  2. Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of staff.
  3. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  4. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or related field highly preferred, but less formal education with more on-the-job experience may be submitted.
  • At least two years of retail experience highly preferred.
  • Management experience highly preferred.
  • Heavy equipment dealership experience highly preferred.
  • In-depth experience utilizing multiple computer data bases, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Successful completion of company’s management training program.
  • Agriculture background a plus, but not required.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
