Job DescriptionLandscape Team Lead Job Description / SummaryAs a Landscape Team Lead, you are a hands-on leader of 1-4 crew members. Together you perform quality landscaping services for our customers in a safe and efficient manner. As a Landscape Team Lead, you should be willing and able to perform enhancement or maintenance work.
As a Landscape Team Lead at Seasons Best Landscaping, you must also be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
  • Ability to lead a team of crew members effectively
  • Able to communicate with team and management effectively
  • Accountable and responsible for actions of crew members
  • Must be reliable and dependable to be on-time
  • Must be attentive to detail
  • Must be able to lead team to finish tasks on time and budget
  • Must conduct yourself with professionalism with the team, management and customers
  • Responsible for truck & trailer being cleaned daily and equipment and tools being maintained
  • Must sign out and use I-Pad to track “real-time” job progression and turn in paperwork such as receipts, completed jobs and etc.
  • Must be thorough with all work being completed to avoid any call-backs
  • Responsible for performing a post job checklist to ensure that all tasks were completed and the job is finished.
  • Responsible for making sure all safety measures are followed and any violations and or incidents are immediately documented and reported.
  • Ability to train crew members on all equipment and company standards relative to completing specific tasks.
  • Responsible to develop crew members to operate with little or no supervision
  • Must have working knowledge and be proficient in standard practices for job duties associated with the division you work in.
  • Strong oral and written communication, math and job planning skills
  • Foster a positive work environment with respect
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pull a trailer
Job Skills & Personal Characteristics
  • Must have at least one-year prior experience
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software programs
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships with customers and crew members
  • Ability to use typical equipment used in the lawn maintenance industry
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must be a creative problem solver with the capacity to innovate
  • Must be team-oriented
Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards
  • Proficient in driving truck and trailer
  • Must have advanced mowing equipment experience
  • Previous experience setting up commercial mowing sites, preferred
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of experience leading crews
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software programs
  • Must be able to move and/or lift, up to, 60 pounds consistently
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required
  • Must be able to work in changing work conditions. We work hard to create beautiful landscapes in our communities. That includes working in various weather conditions, outdoors. Plowing ahead in this industry is rewarding. Expect to get dirty, get working, and get paid fast

  • Labor efficiency 90% or greater
  • Non-billable shop/yard hours not to exceed 2 hours/day
