We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Hotel Accounting Clerk to join our esteemed team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in luxury hotel accounting procedures, coupled with proficiency in utilizing advanced accounting software such as Oracle Opera and NetSuite. This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining the financial integrity of our luxury hotel by overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring meticulous financial record-keeping, and supporting the overall financial operations to uphold our standards of excellence.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable processes with the utmost attention to detail, including invoice verification, coding, and processing payments in a timely manner.
  • Oversee accounts receivable functions, including billing, invoicing, and collections, to maintain optimal cash flow and uphold exceptional guest relations.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of financial discrepancies by meticulously collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Prepare and maintain various financial reports, including daily cash, accounts payable aging, and accounts receivable aging.
  • Assist in the coordination of month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation of journal entries and meticulous account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with other departments within the luxury hotel to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and adherence to stringent accounting policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate financial audits by meticulously providing the necessary documentation and supporting schedules to uphold the hotel's impeccable reputation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging industry trends and changes in accounting regulations to ensure the luxury hotel's compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (but not required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel accounting or a similar role, with a keen understanding of the discerning needs of luxury clientele.
  • Proficiency in utilizing advanced accounting software such as Oracle Opera and NetSuite is essential.
  • Exceptional knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and procedures, with an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and precision.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to meticulously uphold the luxury hotel's reputation for excellence in financial record-keeping.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines seamlessly.
  • Strong analytical acumen and problem-solving skills to navigate complex financial challenges with finesse and precision.
