H2O Innovation is Hiring an Operator In Training Near Monticello, NY
Maintains the facility treatment units to include clarifiers, oxidation ditches equipment, sampling equipment, and pumps. Identify and report the need for repairs to treatment plant equipment such as pumps, valves,motors, blowers, and chemical feed equipment.
Monitors all charts, gauges and other operating equipment and maintains calibration of plant instrumentation and on-line analyzers according to the frequency specified by permitting agencies and/or the manufacturer.
Calculates chemical feed rates, calibrates chemical equipment and adjusts chemical feed rates as indicated by lab tests or by the direction of the Project Manager to comply with effluent quality requirements as established for the plant. Adjusts or alters the chemical treatment of plant processes as required.
Responsible for housekeeping and grounds up-keep including mopping, dusting, mowing and weed trimming.
On-call availability within a 30-minute response time and rotational weekend and holiday duty is required for this position.
Perform Other Duties As Required. SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES DESIRED ProfessionalMinimum required high school diploma or equivalent.
Valid state driver’s license with no DUIs in the past 5 years and no more than 3 violations in the past three (3) years.
Some Technical Or Mechanical Work Experience Preferred. Special Skills/Abilities Needed: Ability to learn wastewater treatment plant operations and obtain appropriate licenses.
Computer skills helpful but not a must, will train right person.

Physical Effort: Regularly lift 10-25 pounds, occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs
Vision: Must be able to Distinguish Color and have Close & Distance Vision
Ability to Operate Motors fueled by Gasoline, Diesel, or Gaseous fuels.
Ability to Paint & Use Hand Tools.
Environmental Stress: Busy Atmosphere, Working Inside and Outside including Very Hot Temperatures & Snow and Ice. Noise Level is Moderate.
