Job OverviewH2scan was founded in 2002, and is headquartered in Valencia, California. H2scan helps our customers meet safety, regulatory and process control requirements in mission critical industries such as energy, utility, petrochemical, fuels cell and gas lines. We do that by providing the most accurate, tolerant and affordable continuous hydrogen sensors for monitoring of industrial processes that generate or use H2, including transformer condition monitoring. H2scan holds 33 patents and our products are sold in over 50 countries.
The position requires performing a variety of sensor calibration tests, working with the technology R&D team to set up and execute research projects, and working with the engineering team to develop and evaluate sensor calibration procedures for new products. Opportunities include advancement to the Engineering Technician position where the candidate will be involved in product design and innovation. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute within a team are required.
Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day activities include performing sensor calibrations, verifications, and acceptance tests as well as RMA diagnostics and repair for released products.
  • Maintaining test equipment, keeping the test area clean and organized, and complying with industry ESD standards.
  • Working closely with the technology R&D team to setup and perform research experiments and provide feedback with respect to how experiments are progressing towards the research goals.
  • Working closely with the engineering team to perform firmware evaluations, testing new products, and using diagnostic tools and procedures to comply with standard industry practices.
  • Maintaining quality and quantity standards set by the department and the ability to maintain a record of the calibration test process and progress in traveler tracking logs.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in an electronics environment
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and perform a variety of functions
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally with reasonable accommodation
  • Available to work between 7:30am & 4:00pm M-F with occasional Saturday work
  • Teamwork, cooperation with leadership, and a positive attitude
  • AS degree in a technical field or working towards BS in a technical field
  • Preferred: electronic calibration and repair experience with electronic sensor metrology background Preferred: BS degree in engineering or another technical field
