We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Chef to join the team at a premier Retirement Community in the scenic city of Asheville, North Carolina. As the Executive Chef, you will lead our culinary team and oversee three unique dining outlets catering to the diverse tastes and preferences of our residents.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and execute creative and enticing menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents while exceeding culinary standards.
- Lead and inspire a team of culinary professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all food outlets through effective supervision of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events, themed dinners, and culinary promotions that enhance the dining experience for our residents.
- Maintain inventory levels, control food costs, and implement efficient purchasing practices to maximize profitability while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
- Uphold strict sanitation and food safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and promoting a safe and hygienic work environment.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar leadership role in a high-volume food service establishment, preferably within the hospitality or senior living industry.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from an accredited culinary institution is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated creativity and proficiency in menu development, recipe creation, and culinary innovation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of culinary professionals.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences and building rapport with residents and guests.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
