Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Partner Near OMAHA, NE

Description

Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is seeking a skilled and motivated Talent Acquisition Partner to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in attracting, sourcing, and selecting talented individuals who are aligned with our organization's mission and values. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of non-profit recruitment strategies, excellent communication skills, and a passion for connecting mission-driven individuals with rewarding opportunities. This position reports to the Human Resources Director.

Requirements

  • Facilitate and implement all phases of the defined talent acquisition process
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of candidates for various roles within the organization. 
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, establish job requirements, and create job descriptions that accurately reflect the roles and responsibilities.
  • Utilize a variety of recruitment methods, including online job boards, social media, networking events, career fairs and community outreach, to actively source and engage potential candidates.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assess candidates' qualifications and skills for specific positions.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a positive and efficient candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Manage applicant tracking systems and maintain accurate records of candidate interactions, interview feedback, and hiring decisions.
  • Maintain a weekly HR Recruitment Dashboard to include metrics specific to candidate flow, time to fill/hire, diverse slates/hires, interview to hire ratio.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes. 
  • Partner with the Human Resources Director to resolve complex hiring issues.
  • Participate in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a more inclusive and equitable recruitment process.
  • Participate in new hire onboarding/orientation sessions, presenting relevant information to provide a solid framework for incoming team members. 
  • Work collaboratively with the Human Resource Director and Human Resources Analyst on job architecture, salary structures needed to hire the best talent, career pathing opportunities, onboarding and orientation materials, DEI, employee engagement, and appropriate messaging to employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to nonprofit recruitment and employment practices to ensure all hiring practices meet current governance and labor law requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred. Will consider equitable work experience. 
  • Proven experience in recruitment, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage and build relationships with diverse candidates and stakeholders.
  • Must be able to appropriately manage confidential, sensitive information. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools/software.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and practices.
  • Self-starter, goal oriented, success driven, professional; ability to multitask and solve problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Preferred SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/CP.
  • Passion for the mission and values of Habitat for Humanity.
