Marketing Intern

We are seeking an eco-conscious, creative individual to join our team as a Marketing Intern. As a team member, you will be responsible for assisting in planning, executing, and monitoring our marketing initiatives and goals. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and communications and social media management while contributing to the growth of our organization's presence.

As our Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to engage with any of the following: 

Market Research:

• Conducting research on industry trends, competitors, and target audience.
• Collecting and analyzing data to inform marketing strategies.

Content Creation/ Social Media Management:

• Assisting in the creation of blog posts, social media content, email newsletters, and other marketing materials (knowledge of Canva required)
• Writing and editing copy for marketing campaigns.
• Managing and scheduling posts on social media platforms.
• Engaging with followers and responding to comments and messages

Campaign Support:

• Assisting in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
• Monitoring campaign performance and preparing reports.

Event Coordination:

• Helping to plan and organize marketing events, webinars, and promotional activities.
• Assisting with logistics and coordination on the day of the event.

Digital Marketing:

• Supporting SEO efforts by conducting keyword research and optimizing content.
• Assisting with PPC campaigns and monitoring their performance.

Email Marketing:

• Creating and sending out email newsletters and promotional emails.
• Managing email lists and segmenting audiences.

Administrative Tasks:

• Maintaining marketing databases and CRM systems.
• Coordinating with vendors and partners.

Design Assistance:

• Assisting with graphic design tasks for marketing materials, if skilled in design software.
• Collaborating with designers to ensure branding consistency.

Reporting and Analytics:

• Preparing and presenting performance reports using analytics tools.
• Tracking KPIs and making data-driven recommendations.

We are looking for individuals who: 

1. Are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in marketing, communications, environmentalism, or a related field. 
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills 
3. Proficiency in using social media across various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, and TikTok. 
4. Proficiency in using digital platforms such as Canva, Microsoft Suites, Google Suites, Constant Contact, and other essential digital platforms as needed. 
5. Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools.
6. Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
7. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
9. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in the field of digital marketing/ communication while working for a fun earth loving team. 

**Duration and Compensation:**

This is a semester long internship position, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability. The internship is part-time, depending on the candidate's availability and preferences. This internship can be used for class credit.
