hackajob has partnered with a company that provides information technology services, consulting and software solutions looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the growing team.

Role: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Irvine, CA, USA (remote/hybrid)

Open to remote candidates. Must be willing to work core hours of 9 am PT - 3 pm PT.

If you are in the Irvine, CA area, then it will be a hybrid position. You must be able to come into the Irvine, CA office 2 days a week.

Salary: up to $160K contingent on experience, plus an attractive benefits package

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters for our applications and services.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, scaling, monitoring, and maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure compliance measures are integrated into the development and deployment workflows.
• Implement SRE best practices for incident response, error budgeting, and service level objectives (SLOs).
• Perform regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
• Implement cloud cost optimization strategies to minimize infrastructure expenses while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Analyze cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Monitor and manage resource allocation to optimize cost-efficiency in Kubernetes environments.
• Drive automation initiatives across the infrastructure stack to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Continuously evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies to enhance operational capabilities.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 4 years experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer
• Bachelor’s degree, technical certification or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Kubernetes clusters in a production environment
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection
• Proficiency and experience in the following:

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)

Scripting (Bash, GoLang, Python)

Cloud Platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

CICD pipeline (GitHub Action, CodePipeline)

Logging and monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus)

Networking (Security, Firewalls, Routing)

Version control (GitHub)
