Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python, along with experience using associated toolchains for documentation, testing, and operational monitoring.
• Expertise in modern software development practices and tools, including version control systems like git/GitHub, DevOps tools, and metrics/monitoring solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, including familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and scalable computing technologies like Google Batch and Vertex.
• Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using git and various CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, CloudBuild, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab).
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and the broader CNCF ecosystem, including application deployment tools such as Helm.
• Knowledge of low-level application build tools (e.g., make, CMake) and automated build systems like Spack or EasyBuild.
• Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration tools, including Argo Workflow, Airflow, and scientific workflow tools like Nextflow, Snakemake, VisTrails, or Cromwell.
• Expertise in application performance tuning and optimization, including knowledge of parallel and distributed computing paradigms and communication libraries such as MPI, OpenMP, and Gloo, with a strong understanding of how hardware, networks, and storage impact application performance.
• Proven track record in agile software development environments using tools like Jira and Confluence.
• In-depth knowledge of high-performance computing techniques and tools, with active engagement in the open-source community and potentially contributing to relevant projects.
