Pay: $18.50 per hour, DOE

Schedule: Full time, overtime available

Position Overview:

The Washbay Attendant is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are kept in top condition. This role also involves assisting the mechanic shop with various tasks as needed, providing support to ensure the smooth operation of the shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle and Equipment Cleaning:

    • Thoroughly wash and clean company vehicles and equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and tools.
    • Inspect vehicles and equipment for cleanliness and report any damages or needed repairs.
    • Operate pressure washers, cleaning agents, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Ensure the washbay area is kept clean, organized, and compliant with safety and environmental standards.
  • Miscellaneous Mechanic Shop Duties:

    • Assist mechanics with basic tasks, such as retrieving tools, parts, and supplies.
    • Perform light maintenance duties under the supervision of certified mechanics.
    • Help in organizing and maintaining the shop area, including cleaning workspaces and properly storing tools and materials.
    • Transport vehicles and equipment between job sites, as needed.
    • Support inventory management by helping to track and organize parts and materials.
    • Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
    • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
    • Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate pressure washers and other cleaning equipment.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle and equipment maintenance is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.

Work Environment:

  • This position involves working outdoors and in a mechanic shop environment, often exposed to various weather conditions.
  • The role requires physical activity, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
