Title: Process Engineer Level 2

DESCRIPTION
This is a full-time position and work is performed at a customer location. As a Mission Management Process Engineer on our team, you will provide process improvement (PI), engineering methodologies, and principles to effectively improve and align Enterprise-level processes. You will facilitate project teams in accomplishing project activities and objectives and coordinate the transfer of new processes and practices to project teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer.
• You will also Act as a key coordinator between multiple project teams to ensure Enterprise-wide integration of engineering efforts.
• Develop the plans for process assessments.
• Work closely with the project team members to determine organizational readiness for assessment as well as in conducting assessments.
• Coordinate and schedule process assessments.
• Lead assessment teams in conducting both formal and informal assessments.
• Analyze assessment results and make improvement recommendations.
• Lead Process Improvement effort utilizing CMM/CMI or other similar process models.
• Interpret and promote the use of Process Improvement best practices.
• Ensure processes are established and documented to support the application and institutionalization of sound systems engineering discipline and continuous process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ten (10) years of experience with Process Improvement on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Experience is to include within the last ten years:
  • Five years of experience in facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation
  • Process engineering across all phases of acquisition identifying best practices
  • Change management techniques, organizational development, activity and data modeling, or information system development methods and practices.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Education from an accredited college or university is required.
• A High School diploma and four years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Excel, Visio and Python based Lab Bench/Jupyter notebooks.

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team setting to complete assigned tasks within an expected timeframe.
• Familiarity with collection and processing to include dataflow, analysis, report production, and customer feedback is a plus.
• Adaptable to a dynamic work environment and customer workflow.
