Job Summary:
Weekly Gross $2,602.00/ Non-Taxable Stipend: $1,162.00/ $40.00 Per Hour/ Location: Dunkirk, NY 14048
Assignment: 9/2024- 12/2024 / ICU Nights
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including administering medications, performing various medical procedures, and developing individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Perform critical care transport and ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care in transit.
- Develop and implement effective case management strategies to promote patient recovery and well-being.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to diagnose and treat patients with a range of medical conditions.
- Maintain a high level of infection control and ensure that all patients receive appropriate infection prevention and control measures.
- Provide pain management to patients as needed, using a variety of techniques and modalities.
- Utilize knowledge of ophthalmology to provide appropriate care to patients with eye conditions.
- Conduct inhale assessments and develop individualized respiratory care plans.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the position is located.
- Experience in acute care and critical care nursing.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Ability to perform critical care transport safely and efficiently.
- Experience with pain management and infection control.
- Familiarity with memory care and case management principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document patient information.
