Hale Ku’ike, the standard in memory care, is searching for a caring and committed Registered Nurse to join our team.
Job Type:* Our ideal candidate would be able to work full time, days available TBD. All shifts are during the day.
Locations:* Ability to support more than one of our facilities is highly desired but not required (Nuuanu, Bayside, Pali)
*Job Summary* The Registered Nurse is responsible for directing and assuring that residents are cared for in a safe, efficient, and caring manner and in accordance with Hale Ku’ike’s mission, facility standards, procedures and resident care plans. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, exercise sound judgment and decision-making, and promote cooperative working relationships. *Essential Job Functions*
Department Administration: acquire resources and means to promote a quality work environment, ensure quality performance, conform with regulations and laws
Staff Supervision: clearly communicate work assignments, ensure employees are trained to perform their jobs, motivate, encourage, and recognize staff
Resident Care: assess residents’ nursing and psychosocial care needs, assure plan of care and interventions are appropriate and effective, review medication administration monthly with assistance from MD and/or pharmacist, communicate with family regarding resident’s plan of care
*Minimum Requirements*
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Hawaii RN license
Knowledge of basic nursing skills
Knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered
CPR/First Aid certification
tuberculosis clearance
Physician’s health clearance
Full COVID-19 vaccination (including booster when eligible)
Previous experience at E-ARCH or Skilled Nursing Facility is preferred but not required
Availability to work weekends and at any one of our three facilities
