Here at Hallgan LLC, we are looking for reliable and professional NEMT drivers to join our team on the Southside of Hampton Roads. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport clients to and from medical appoint
• ments
• Observe and follow all traffic rules and regulations
• Inspect vehicles before shift by checking fuel, oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and steering to ensure vehicle can be operated safely. Notify supervisor of mechanical defects or needed repairs.
• Assisting clients with mobility and personal care needs
• Follow safety and COVID protocols
• Instruct clients on safe riding rules and regulations
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation
• Communicating with dispatch and other team members as needed
• Report and document all accidents, vehicle damage, client incidents and mechanical failures.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean and fueled.
• Wheelchair and Gurney lift operation
• Ability to lift ~ 90 lbs
• Arrive on time and pick up/deliver our patients safely to their destination
• Must be familiar with smartphones & tablets and must have a cell phone.
• Compassionate towards the disabled and elderly.

Requirements:

• Valid VA,MD,TN, or NC driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be at least 20 years old
• Experience as a NEMT driver is preferred, but we will consider candidates with prior driving experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to pass First Aid & CPR training course
• Must have a positive attitude, good communication skills and be empathetic and polite.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle unexpected situations with professionalism and care
